Look, we started this firm back in 2012 because we were tired of seeing businesses get buried in unnecessary legal complexity. There's enough stress running a company without your lawyer making things harder, right?
What began as two lawyers working out of a shared office space has grown into a dedicated team serving clients across Canada. We've handled everything from startup incorporations to multi-million dollar M&A deals, and honestly, we love what we do.
The legal landscape keeps changing - new regulations, emerging tech, shifting markets - and we've made it our job to stay ahead of all that so you don't have to. We're basically your in-house legal department, except you don't have to pay us full-time salaries.

Managing Partner
Katherine's been practicing corporate law for over 15 years, and she's seen pretty much everything. She started her career at one of the big Bay Street firms before realizing she wanted to actually talk to clients like human beings. She specializes in M&A and corporate restructuring, and she's got this uncanny ability to spot problems before they become disasters.
Senior Partner
Michael's the guy you want in your corner when things get complicated. His background in intellectual property and commercial litigation means he knows how to protect what's yours and isn't afraid to fight when necessary. He's also surprisingly good at explaining complex legal stuff in plain English, which clients really appreciate.
Associate
Priya joined us three years ago and quickly became indispensable. She focuses on employment law and contract negotiation, and she's got this knack for finding creative solutions that keep everyone happy. Before law, she actually worked in HR for a tech company, so she gets both sides of the employment equation.

David's our corporate governance guru. He helps companies set up proper board structures, ensure compliance, and navigate regulatory requirements without losing their minds. He's also bilingual in English and Mandarin, which has been super helpful for our clients doing business in Asia.
Stralyn Ward Legal Services was founded. Just two lawyers, a dream, and way too much coffee. We set up shop determined to do corporate law differently.
Closed our first major M&A deal worth $12M. That's when we knew we were onto something. Also moved to a bigger office because we'd outgrown the old space.
Expanded the team and added specialized practices in IP protection and employment law. Our client base had grown, and they needed more comprehensive services.
Moved to our current Bay Street location. Hit the 100-client milestone and launched our virtual consultation services, which turned out to be perfect timing.
Still growing, still learning, still committed to making corporate law accessible and effective. We're now serving clients across Canada and we're not slowing down anytime soon.
